Check this documentary out;
Zeitgeist - The Movie
It starts of slow with some dumb collage of quotes and clips but like 6 minutes in it starts on part one about the christian believe (and other believes) and how they all are actually retellings of the sun and the stars.
Now it ofcourse is very bious and I have yet to do some research of my own, but if anything it at leasts give you a new perspective on religion that I definitely hadn’t heard before.
